Flying tomorrow
In a break from my usual rants (despite having to spend three hours traveling to spend three hours in the office on Tuesday, but I digress) I’d like to write about how tomorrow will be my first trip across the Atlantic since 2019, and the first with Lyra.
Virgin Atlantic is my choice of airline, simply because even in economy it doesn’t feel like you are just one more head of cattle like some other airlines, I won’t name any but I am sure you have stories.
Why am I flying, you ask? Because shortly before Christmas, my brother-in-law passed away leaving my sister widowed after 20 years of marriage. In typical fashion as all families do, we don’t bother planning get-togethers unless it is a wedding or a funeral. Truth-be-told we were planning a 2026 trip but sadly it is now too late for my brother-in-law to meet Lyra for the first time.
Everything happens so much.
