Giving up on task managers
I’ve tried them all over the years, Todoist, any.do, Apple’s Reminders app, Omnitask or whatever its called now, and the latest one is LunaTask. None of them quite fit with what I want. Right now I manage tasks in Sunsama which is a tool I use to condense daily tasks and things (which large come in through email) into something manageable and it has a nice way of presenting a summary of what I’ve done at the end of the day.
Still, it misses features I’d like to use. Namely connections to open standards such as CalDAV and CardDAV. There is another element that I want to bring in and that is my address book, it would be really nice to link tasks and appointments directly to contacts like LunaTask does. While features-wise it is nice, the UI just doesn’t work for me.
There was another suite I tried years ago called MonicaCRM which was supposed to be a personal relationship manager but again, the UI did not cut the mustard.
So this is me adding another project do my never-ending list of projects that I want to do, make a task manager that works for me.
