Wake

A few words, some happy memories, and then it is all gone. It doesn’t help what I haven’t been lucid since being in the UK.

I am so dosed-up on painkillers right now that all I want to do is sleep, and smalltalk isn’t my strong suit either. Most of the people in attendence I do not know, or haven’t seen for six years.

But it isn’t about them, or me. It is about supporting my sister, and saying goodbye to my brother-in-law.
