I thought I’d adapt one of the most famous monologues from Network (1976). Seriously, if you haven’t seen it then add it to your watch list.

You and and three billion others are doomscrolling the slot machine of the prolefeeds. Less than three percent of you people read books! Less than fifteen percent of you read newspapers! Because the only truth you know is what you get over these prolefeeds! Right now, there is a whole, an entire generation that never knew anything that didn’t come out of social media! The prolefeeds are the Gospel, the ultimate revelation! The prolefeeds can make or break Presidents, Popes, Prime Ministers! The prolefeeds are the most awesome goddamn force in the whole godless world!

What are the prolefeeds you ask? Well in this context I am referring to social media and the othe doomscrolling entertainment forms such as YouTube Shorts, and TikTok. Deactive your accounts and delete these apps, they are making you stupid.
